Lost and Found

Lost and Found "Lost and Found" is a photo series built from years of collecting—objects, trinkets, and forgotten things that I’ve saved or stumbled upon over time. Each piece begins with these personal artifacts, which I scan and digitally collage in Photoshop to create layered, playful compositions full of color, texture, and surprise. The final images are professionally printed and presented in museum-quality acrylic mounts, giving physical presence to works that began as digital reconstructions of found material. My fascination with objects and their stories first took shape back in 2001 during my senior thesis, where I explored the emotional weight of childhood toys and keepsakes through photography. That early project planted the seed for this ongoing series—connecting memory, material, and image in new ways. I’m constantly on the lookout—at thrift stores, flea markets, and even sidewalks—for objects that hold a certain kind of quiet history or visual charm. The hunt is just as much a part of the process as the final image. Every item I find adds a new layer to the evolving archive that fuels my work.
